How do I make an appointment?

Where are the portraits taken?
Betsy Burke is a natural light photographer who uses outdoor setting to create beautifully lit portraits. Portraits can be arranged to be taken at your home or Betsy can suggest any number of location that will suite your needs.
What are your prices? Does it cost more for large groups?
The same creation fee applies for small and large groups. Please check the price sheet.
Do you use black and white film?
All pictures taken can be printed in either full color or black and white. If you know that you are looking for exclusively black and white portraits, black and white film will be used to give you a high quality and artistic portrait.
What time of day are the portraits taken?
Portraits can be scheduled at any time throughout the day. The light is softer and more flattering at the beginning or the end of the day.
What should we wear for our portrait?
Keep outfits solid and simple. Coordinate colors and styles of outfits so everyone is comfortable. You can view the examples in Betsy's gallery for suggestions or call to discuss your individual questions and needs.
Do you take wedding portraits?
We approach wedding portraits from a photo journalistic style. Usually, we are the second photographer who is there to take artful pictures and high quality candids of the couple, friends and family. Oftentimes we use exclusively black and white film to give a different perspective of your special day.
Do you take engagement portraits?
Yes ! An engagement session is a wonderful way to capture a moment in time. It is also a great way to announce the upcoming event.
